Beate Kallweit studied law at the Friedrich-Wilhelm University in Bonn and has been a lawyer specializing in labour law since 1995.
She advises firms and enterprises in all questions concerning individual and collective labour law. Her special fields include advice about labour law in the re-structuring of firms (including negotiations about social planning, procedures towards settlements, and partitioning) as well as advice about mass dismissal.
Beate Kallweit also advises boards and non-profit organizations about labour and service issues as well as about colleague representation (personnel representation law). She also focuses on church-labour- and service-law.
A further concern of hers is the formulation of contracts for appointing leading colleagues, Ltd. heads of business and members of boards, as well as the formulation and negotiation of agreements about nullification. She represents her clients, be they employers or employees, both in and out of court.
She has already been named twice in nation-wide surveys carried out by the news magazine Focus into lawyers specializing in labour law, once in 1999 and again in 2004 (Focus lists, Focus issue no. 47/1999 and Focus issue no. 45/2004).
She co-authored the book ‘The Labour-Law Client’ (Klaus Hümmerich, Beate Kallweit, Matthias Spirolke, Bonn, Dt. Anwaltverlag 2000 1st edition, 2nd edition 2003).
